Joseph Beaty is a multi-instrumentalist currently located in Upstate New York. His early musical endeavors began in the Chicago suburb of Naperville. This area provided a huge wealth of local artists that provided Joseph with a slew of influences including, The Smashing Pumpkins and anything on the Chicago based Wax Trax! record label to name a few. It was here that Joseph learned how to craft a song and played in front of his first crowds as part of an experimental Yamaha School of Music. He still feels Naperville, Il is home. Fellow musicians at the time included the talented, Darren Garvey. An amazing artist and lifelong friend that everyone should hear. The two have spoken of collaboration again after all these years. Studio Work and Live Performance.
The last 12+ years or so have been eventful on stage and behind the scenes. Joseph has been a key staff studio writer and musician for Florida based Avalon and Powerstation Studios. It is here that Joseph has had the privilege to work with famed studio producer and engineer, Tony Bongiovi. Tony also produced Joseph’s band, Mindlikewater on their breakout record, Curving Toward the Sun. Joseph continues to work with Tony and the Avalon/Powerstation Studio team on many projects spanning from songwriting gigs to film score. Beaty has provided supplemental content for many indie films out in stores now including: Sigma Die, Spring Break Massacre and Girls Gone Dead. He also wrote a song under the D_composure moniker called, “A Touch From You” that was used in a National T.V. commercial campaign in 2009 for iHome’s iPod dock system the iP1. He has released many records with projects: Mindlikewater, Comadrone, D_composure and now as a solo artist. Joseph has played extensively in Florida along with tours up the East Coast of the United States opening for acts such as: Muse, Silversun Pickups, The Faint, Against Me, Flyleaf and Avenged Sevenfold to name a few. He is currently working on music for Film, Comadrone, D_composure and his Solo material. Bongiovi Acoustics and Entertainment.
Tony Bongiovi isn’t just a legendary producer. He is also an acoustic genius with a company building consumer audio enhancement products such as the Dps Plug-In. His company has both an Acoustics and Entertainment division. Joseph was hired on as Director of Social Networking for Bongiovi Acoustics. Joseph works on various projects handed down from Bongiovi to him and the Avalon/Powerstation Studio team members as part of the entertainment side of things. The future is bright in Bongiovi land.
