Today’s release of the album title track,  ”Blood Will Flow”  marks the full release of Blood Will Flow album. This has been a pleasurable experience sharing this material alongside some amazing artwork.  I would like to thank: Joseph Butera III for playing drums and providing a creative layer to these songs in the mixing process, Ryan Copt for tracking the majority of this record and teaching me how to move forward in the recording realm, Amy and Samara Shevlin for providing the amazing photo accompaniment for the Blood Will Flow album cover and track art, Justin Ricke for compiling and creating something stark and real with Amy Shevlin’s photos for the album cover, John Cheadle for mixing, mastering and providing some valuable advice for “Mouth to the Pouring Rain”.

The sixth installment of the Blood Will Flow album project is, “Night Will Be Here Soon.”  The image is part of what is included in the album credits section.  This was by far my favorite image that accompanies song for this project.  I think there is plenty to interpret here.

Night Will Be Here Soon

When you listen to “Night Will Be Here Soon”, you will notice a soft vocal and guitar that is very lo-fi contrasted with what I am calling the Racket Orchestra.  Which was made up of myself, Ryan Copt (D_composure, Mindlikewater) and a good friend, Desi Kane.  Snaps and stomps with sliding chains, chairs and furniture.  Metal on metal and wood on wood.  This song needed that color.  Something stark and ugly to cut through the pretty muffly thing I began with here.  I hope you all enjoy this tune.  One more song for the Blood Will Flow album.  Stay tuned for that and news about the future of my music.

“Mouth to the Pouring Rain” is the 5th track for the “Blood Will Flow” album project.  It touches on my struggle to stay in the light sometimes.  I put my dark vibes in music.  Nature inspired me to write a tune about using music to make a gloomy day something positive.  I think we all have days where we just want everything to go away.  Days we want to bottle up and die.  I generally make music on such days.  The result this time being, “Mouth to the Pouring Rain”.

This photo is one of my personal faves form the collection that Amy Shevlin provided for this group of tunes.  Her sister Samara Shevlin seems very free and open to the elements.  I feel it very much represents this tune.  I hope you all enjoy.  Only a tune or two left for the Blood Will Flow album project.  Please leave your comments on the tune.

Thanks,

Joseph

unplug

“Unplug” is the 4th track on the “Blood Will Flow” album project. This song was inspired by where we are as people in the digital realm and an overlapping of dreams from my youth and adulthood. Sci-fi kind of feel to it. I hope you enjoy this one. I do feel it is one of the more odd tunes on this record. However, I love how it contrasts the other tunes. It works somehow. Stay tuned for new music.

Track art for Joseph Beaty's song, "Fire Will Tell" from the "Blood Will Flow" album.

“Fire Will Tell” is the third track on my newest release, “Blood Will Flow”.  This song was inspired by a Yule celebration I was fortunate enough to be a part of at the Butera family home.  There was a moment where we all reflected and used the fire to find the answers.  I was going through a rough patch and I believe I did find what was looking for.  The embers danced and burnt well into the night.  Smiles were had by all.  I felt surrounded by love, warmth and wisdom.  Later, I also kind of worked in this reoccurring dream of a woman born into the woods.  (As mentioned in the lyrics for “Moonlit Skies of Old”.)  As per each track on this record, I believe the track art photo from my dear friend, Amy Shevlin represents this song very well.

Samara Shevlin really has become that blurred image from my dream some years ago.  I hope everyone enjoys “Fire Will Tell”.  I have many tracks left to release for the “Blood Will Flow” album.  I look forward to sharing them with all of you.  Like the other tracks I have released, you have the option to pay if you please.  This helps me move forward and fund some of the costs associated with a national release.  I appreciate your purchase and your time listening.

The second track from my new album, Blood Will Flow is now available. The song is called, “Moonlit Skies of Old”.  It’s based on a reoccurring dream of a woman born in the woods. Mystics and fans of Game of Thrones should enjoy this tune. Amy Shevlin and her sister Samara did a fantastic job providing photos that captured the spirit of these tunes. You can see other works from Amy by clicking here. I truly hope that you all enjoy the second track on my Blood Will Flow album. Moonlit Skies of Old is definitely one of my faves on the record.  I have chosen the pay if you want method for this track. So if you’re feeling generous, please contribute to help support future musical and artistic endeavors. Stay tuned for more music…

…with love…
